Taiwan aims to develop Southbound policy for screws market-The 18th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

Under the new Southbound Policy, the largest country for strong screw demand is Australia. However, Taiwan’s screw exports to Australia from January to April of this year fell badly, which was opposite to China’s situation. But fortunately, Taiwan’s screw exports to India was better than China. Compared with the same period for January to April of last year, Taiwan’s screw exports totaled 6341 tons, decreased by 7.04%, and amounted US$20.6 million, fell by 6.85% respectively.
It showed that Taiwan’s screw exports to Australia had fallen year-on-year. On the other hand, Taiwan’s screw exports to India from January to April totaled 3,981 tons, increased by 11.45%, and amounted to US$10.8 million, rose by 23.41% compared with the same period of last year.
The trader indicated that the demand for auto parts had reduced since some of car factories stopped producing cars in Australia, which caused Taiwan’s auto parts exports decreased sorely. Although Taiwan’s screw exports to Australia was worse than last year, the exports to India was growing up recently.
