The Italian manufacturer is a specialist in high resistance carbon 8.8/10.9/12.9 and stainless steel A2, specialising in metric M3 — M12 socket head screws (DIN 912, DIN 7991, DIN 7984, ISO 7380 with/without flange).
With 16 cold forging machines (including SACMA and Carlo Salvi 6 and 5 step machines), as well as optical sorting and second processing machines, Mecavit can make special items as per customer drawing. Its strength is using special materials and special coatings according to the automotive standard. All surface coating types and quality certificates (e.g, PPAP level 3) are available on request. In addition its quality system is certified to ISO 9001/2008 by TüV Italia.
For standard items, Mecavit has a very large stock of over 4,000 pallets to satisfy requests fast and flexibly. The company is mostly dedicated to wholesalers of standard products and drawing parts. It also supplies customers in the automotive, motorcycle, electrical, electronics, home appliances, and aluminium profile accessory industries, as well as some of the biggest distributors. Europe is its primary target market with other customers located in countries worldwide including the USA, Russia, north Africa and UAE.
“It is important to care for the environment with screw production in this Italian area,” explains Mecavit. “For instance, in building the heat treatment facility, the designer focused more on the energy of heat recovery of the oven. In this way we were able to reduce smoke emission into the environment and the residual heat is used for heating of the whole factory. Each production process results from a technological system where environment preservation and worker health have always come first.
