Taiwan’s stainless steel imports drop in January-The 17th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to statistics showed in January this year, Taiwan’s stainless steel coil imports totaled 75,608 tons, those for hot-rolled imports were 66,442 tons, down by 9% month on month; for cold rolled steel imports were 9,166, down by 23% month on month.
From the import figures, China is still the main source of imports, but 300-series stainless steel products have decreased.
Due to weak market demand in Taiwan, most mills or processing plants were significantly reduced in the imported raw materials source procurement.
