According to Spetsstal’s expert appraisal, the volume of Russian imports of the main types of stainless steel products in the first half of 2014, if compared with the equal period of 2013, increased by 2.4% and amounted to 124.2 thousand tons.
The volume of imports of stainless steel flat products increased by 7.0%, long products - by 16.7% and wire - by 18.0% .The volume of imports of seamless tubes decreased down to 33.7%, welded pipes - 18.0% and billets - 21.7%.
