South Korean special steel bar imports rise in Apr m-o-m-The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to the statistics from the Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), South Korean special steel bar imports, including stainless steel bar, totaled around 78,000 tons in April this year, which rose by 5.1% compared to the previous month.
Among them, China ranked first with the largest proportion of South Korean special steel bar imports, accounting for 70.3%, totaling around 71,000 tons.
Market participants said that the increase in imports of South Korean special steel bar was mainly due to low offers from China. However, the growth of imports might shrink gradually on the recent exchange rate issue.
