China’s exports of stainless sheet/coil up slightly in November

According to statistics released by China’s customs, the country’s exports of
stainless sheets and coils totaled 170,585 tons in November, up slightly by 1
.1% from a month ago.
In November, the country’s exports of stainless
sheets coils made to Taiwan totaled 53,823 tons, decreasing by 12.2% from a
month ago.
In fact, market participants had expected that China’s cold
rolled stainless coils made to Taiwan would fall after the Taiwanese government
launched a provisional antidumping (AD) duties on cold rolled stainless coils
from Taiwan starting August 15 and final duties on November 22.
However,
the exports made to Korea and Vietnam surged by 11.4% and 74.3% month on month
respectively
