After Taiwanese stainless steel coil mills unchanged the price for January, the demand didn''t improve. According to understanding, distributors didn''t receive many orders and arrange shipment for previous orders mostly currently.
The December''s average cash nickel price was US$10,836.84/ton and the average three month nickel price was US$10,923.68/ton. The nickel price even reached to US$11,000/ton during January 4th to January 7th. If the nickel kept standing stable at that level, the deal price might be increased.
The LME nickel stock dropped to 206,400 tons as of the end of December, 2018. This was the lowest stock level since August, 2013.
