Japanese stainless steel imports up in Nov 2018 -The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to the statistics from the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ), Japan imported around 19,500 tons of stainless steel in November 2018, up by 1.5% compared to the previous month. Among them, the imports from South Korea had a month-on-month increase of 3.8%; those from Taiwan decreased by 2.7% month on month; those from China dropped by 7.5% from the previous month.
In addition, the imports of special steel (excluding stainless steel) totaled around 50,400 tons in November 2018, down by 5.5% from last month; those of special steel (including stainless steel) reached around 70,000 tons, a month-on-month reduction of 3.7%.
