South Korea launched an anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel rods imported from Italy and Taiwan officially.
The annual sales value of Taiwanese stainless steel bar exports was around US$25.95 million to South Korea and with high market share in Korea market. Some steel manufacturers in Taiwan indicated that the investigation caused a great impact on Taiwan producers and they needed to pay more attention on it and followed it up.
The Korean Trade Commission (KTC) has received application from South Korean manufacturers Dongil Steel and SeAh Special Steel Co., Ltd., and started to investigate anti-dumping facts on Taiwanese and Italian stainless steel bars.
The investigation period was from July 1st, 2016 to June 30th, 2017; as for industry damage investigation period was from January 1st, 2014 to December 31st, 2017.
