Outokumpu’s stainless steel output rises in 2017-The 19th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to the trade statistics, the output of Outokumpu’s stainless steel products was around 245,000 tons in 2017, up by 0.2% compared with the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, the sales of ferrochrome totaled around 105,000 tons, down by 16.7% from the same period of the previous year, and the output of ferrochrome was around 415,000 tons, down by 11.5% from the same period a year ago.
The market participants thought that the main reason for the decrease in ferrochrome output might be the soaring prices of coke and electricity.
