According to International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) released the latest statistics showed that the world stainless steel production reached 11.76 million tons in the first quarter of this year, increased by 14.5% compared with 10.27 million tons the same period of last year, but fell by 3.5% compared with previous month.
MEPS is expected global stainless steel production to reach 48.5 million tons for 2017, increased by 6% compared with the same period of last year. At the same time, China''s stainless steel production is expected to increase by 8%, to 27 million tons for 2017, accounted for about 55% of global total output.
