It is reported that the stainless steel market demand remained weak, stainless steel mills have adjusted down their price offer since April this year. Analysts predicted that if the demand continued downward trend, the prices would drop further for coming June.
Meanwhile, China’s stainless steel mills cut their export price offer, which led a poor steel market performance.
Market participants said that from the end of this month there are three weeks to determine the prices trend, and it is too early to predict. If the nickel price to maintain the same as about benchmark in May, the new prices for June should not fall further. It should have an opportunity to maintain flat for June.
