Japan’s stainless steel scrap imports increase for Jan-The 18th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to Japan Ministry of Finance statistics showed in January of 2017, Japan imported 7,398 tons of stainless steel scarp, increased by 1.2% compared with last month. Although LME nickel prices fell in January, but the average imports prices rose from United States, South Korea and Taiwan.
Among them, Japan’s stainless steel scrap import from Korea was 4,177 tons, increased by 11.8% compared with last month; imported from Taiwan was 1,089 tons, fell by 31.6% compared with last month; imported from the United States was 1,122 tons, increased by 11% compared with last month.
